Family Fun Day 2025 01 May 2026

Community Spirit Shines at BMSPA Family Fun Day 2025

The Bedford Modern School Parents’ Association (BMSPA) celebrated a resounding success following their Family Fun Day 2025, which brought together students, staff and local families for a day of sun-soaked entertainment. Held at the Woodland Manor Hotel, the thrice sold-out event raised an impressive £1,400 for the School’s fundraising pot.

A Collaborative Community Effort

The event’s success was anchored by the generosity of the BMS community. Owners and BMS parents Neera and Raj Regmi provided the Woodland Manor Hotel venue free of charge, while local farmers Charlie and Laura Tomkins facilitated the large turnout by lending their nearby field for guest parking. The day featured a diverse line up of activities and entertainment:

High Energy Action – SSG Services provided an inflatable obstacle course, climbing wall, and archery, while Woolfy Sport kept children moving with football and tennis.

Special Guests – The Bedfordshire Fire Service and Bedfordshire Police delighted younger attendees by bringing emergency vehicles for exploration.

Artisan Fair – Local craftspeople offered face painting, pottery, and refreshments, showcasing the region’s small businesses.

A Festival of Talent – Music was at the heart of the ‘festival vibe’, featuring a mix of professional and student talent. Highlights included performances from the BMS Music students and young singer Rohan Regmi. A powerful set was also delivered by professional soprano and BMS parent Carolyn Sampson. We were delighted to be entertained by five-piece band Kaleidos and also the Bedford Modern Singers adult choir.

The BMSPA expressed deep gratitude to the army of volunteers and school staff who attended.
