Bedford Modern School is an HMC Independent Co-educational Day School located on the outskirts of Bedford. Our facilities are excellent and include a separate Junior School, dedicated Sixth Form building, purpose built Science Centre and extensive sports facilities.  

The School offers a premium education, with a wide and varied curriculum, that is responsive to the needs of pupils and parents, where the intellectual needs of each pupil is given priority.  

We are seeking to appoint a committed and suitably qualified individual to teach Classics at our School. This a fixed-term position to cover a period of maternity leave, starting in September 2025. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable classroom practitioner with a passion for the ancient world. They will demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in delivering outstanding outcomes for young people.
