Open Events at Bedford Modern School

Come and experience BMS.

Our Open Events are designed to help families experience BMS in a way that suits them. From Open Days to Action Mornings and student Taster Days, there are a variety of ways to get to know the School. Open Days are an opportunity to meet students and teachers, hear from senior leaders, explore our facilities and see the breadth of opportunities available at BMS.

For those who would like to experience the School on a typical working day, our Action Mornings offer an insight into daily life. You will see lessons in progress, students engaged in their learning and the school community at its best.

Prospective Junior School and Sixth Form students are also warmly invited to join us for a Taster Day. Spending time in School, meeting future classmates and experiencing lessons first-hand is often one of the best ways to discover whether BMS feels like the right fit.

See the Senior School during a normal school day. Hear from the Head of the Senior School and meet other key members of staff.

Junior School Open Day

This event is a fantastic way to get a feel for what the Junior School has to offer. Hear from both the Headmaster and the Head of the Junior School, join our students on a tour around the School and have your questions answered by members of staff. The perfect opportunity to find out about life in Years 3 to 6.

Sixth Form Information Evening

View the impressive facilities and discover the wealth of opportunities on offer in our Sixth Form. Hear from the Director of Sixth Form and key teaching staff, and have the chance to discuss A Level options with current students.

Junior School Information Evening

The perfect opportunity to find out more about life in Bedford Modern Junior School, hear from the Head of Junior School and speak to staff, students and current parents.
