Bedford Modern School (BMS) is an HMC Independent Co-educational Day School located on the outskirts of Bedford. Our facilities are excellent and include a separate Junior School, dedicated Sixth Form building and purpose-built Science Centre. Our students have access to impressive sports facilities, which include a strength and conditioning suite with two specific strength and conditioning coaches, ergo room and large boathouse on the banks of the River Ouse.
BMS seeks an inspirational, qualified female rowing coach to support the locally and regionally renowned school rowing programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing performance and fostering engagement across the rowing programme between Years 9-13, as well as promote the reputation of BMS rowing.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and fully prepared to undertake the demands of working in an outstanding co-educational day school, including assisting with the day-to-day operational demands of the busy Sports Faculty.
The successful applicant will hold, or will be working towards British Rowing Level 2 (or equivalent) qualifications, with experience of working with young people in a sporting or educational environment. Development opportunities will be available to support the successful applicant.
