Bedford Modern School is seeking a Head of Finance to be the senior qualified management accountant professional within school providing credible, visible, and effective management of the finance function including the people and processes that assure the financial performance of the school.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the incumbent advises on all aspects of the operation, overseeing the delegated financial framework, advising, and overseeing all financial and relevant regulatory matters and provides the strategic financial advice and data necessary to provide the School Executive and Governors with effective modelling and forecasting strategies. You will also develop commercial opportunities to generate third party income.

The post holder will ensure compliance to the satisfaction of the Governors, the appointed auditor and other relevant entities.
