Bedford Modern School (BMS) is an outstanding HMC independent co-educational day school for students aged 7-18. Our community is a friendly, happy and supportive one and all of the 350 staff members, spanning both teaching and non-teaching roles, help to make BMS a very special place to work.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced careers professional to continue to build upon the excellent foundations laid by the current postholder. You will deliver and quality assure a full and varied programme of careers information and guidance for our students, to ensure that they understand the full range of learning, academic and vocational routes available to them to support decisions about future careers and courses.
In this role, you will need to co-ordinate the contributions of various staff in different departments (both teaching and non-teaching) whose roles relate to the delivery of the school’s careers programme and to advise the senior leadership team on policy, strategy and resources for careers information and guidance.
We are therefore looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a flair for devising programmes which deliver demonstrable results and a track record of working successfully with a diverse range of stakeholders together with high-level ICT and analytical skills.
