Bedford Modern School (BMS) is a thriving HMC independent co-educational day school for students aged 7-18. Our community is a friendly, happy and supportive one and all of the 350 staff members, spanning both teaching and non-teaching roles, help to make BMS a very special place to work.
We are seeking a motivated and committed Graduate Assistant to join our vibrant School on a fixed-term basis, from September 2025 to September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate who is considering a future career in education or child development, and who is passionate about making a positive impact on young learners.
As part of the role, you’ll work closely with the experienced teaching staff to support the delivery of lessons, assist with a wide range of classroom and co-curricular activities, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the school. You will also be involved in school trips, performances, and wider pastoral support.
This is a fixed-term, full-time role during term time (35 weeks including INSET), working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8.30am – 4.00pm). There may be occasional requirements to support events outside of normal hours.
