Salary: £18,184 – £19,700 per annum depending on experience
(Full-time equivalent of £24,000 – £26,000 per annum)

Bedford Modern School (BMS) is an outstanding HMC independent co-educational day school for students aged 7-18. Our community is a friendly, happy and supportive one and all of the 350 staff members, spanning both teaching and non-teaching roles, help to make BMS a very special place to work.

We are seeking an Attendance Officer to play a vital role in maintaining accurate attendance records for students in Years 7 to 13. Reporting to the School Operations Manager, you will actively promote excellent student attendance by ensuring precise registration data and analysing attendance trends. Your daily interactions with parents and staff will contribute to fostering a positive attendance culture within our school.

Applicants will have high levels of admin experience, preferably in an educational or similar setting and/or experience working with children and young people coupled with a good standard of education and strong organisational skills. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to use initiative and pro-actively try to solve problems.

The post will be full time for 37.5 hours per week to be worked Monday-Friday 8am – 4pm, with half an hour unpaid lunch break, term time only.
