What a lovely afternoon we had at Sports Day last Monday and weren’t we lucky with the weather! My thanks go to Mr Bucktin, as the main organiser, and all the staff who helped run the afternoon. There were many outstanding performances and it was a hotly contested competition with only two points between first and second place – the eventual winners being Kaye. Well done to all!
In addition a big thank you must go to all the children who took part in the Summer Concert last Friday. Very well done to everyone who was involved and an especially big thank you to Mr Bishop who was the driving force behind the event.
This evening we will be hosting our new parents at the annual Information Evening. Many of you will remember attending a similar event last year and although we try to deliver as much useful information as we can I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who kindly volunteered to act as a Friendly Contact for one or more of our new parents. You can often answer their questions from an entirely different, and probably more useful perspective!
On Thursday we have our annual Prize-giving. I look forward to welcoming the Prize-winners and their families to this wonderful event
Finally on Friday, the Year 6 parents have been invited to join their children for a Celebration Afternoon. It is a super way to mark the end of your child’s time in the Junior School and is an entertaining and poignant afternoon. If last year is anything to go by I also suggest that some of you may wish to discretely pack a few tissues into your bags before attending!
As we gear up for the final push towards the end of the academic year, please be aware that as FRIDAY 12 JULY is our last day of the school year, the children will be dismissed at 12 noon.
