Rose Cocks

Rose left BMS in 2017, and is in her third year of studying Hispanic Studies and Linguistics at the University of Warwick, having just come back from her year abroad working in Madrid. In this video she discusses her experience as a languages student as well as general thoughts on university life, and describes her future career plans as a solicitor and how she went through the application process as a non-law student.

Caleb Savery

Caleb left BMS last year and is currently at the University of Leeds doing Geography and Transport Studies. In this video he shares his experiences so far and offers some general advice.

Lara Brittain

Lara is currently in her first year at the University of Reading, studying for MEng Biomedical Engineering. She also rows for RUBC. In her video she discusses her experiences of choosing universities and open days, rowing at university and juggling study alongside a high-level sport.

Charlie Rex

Charlie is a First Year PhD Student at the University of Glasgow, studying the climate change of Japan. She left BMS in 2015 and since then has been pretty consistently at University studying at Durham, Sheffield and now Glasgow. In her presentation she explores some of the options for further study after undergraduate degree.

Tommy Forster

Tommy left BMS in 2018 and is currently studying Business Management at the University of Sheffield.

Georgia Barnwell

Georgia is a second year BA Education student at the University of Nottingham. This is a video covering some of her own experiences at the University of Nottingham and her advice. The video roughly covers: why she chose to study her course, the best and worst things about her university experience, her top tips for university life, the opportunities she has had while at university and things she wish she knew as a Sixth Form student at BMS going to the UoN.

Tristan Rayner

Tristan is in his first year studying Mechanical Engineering at the Univeristy of Sheffield.

Siobhan Wignall

Siobhan is currently studying philosophy at the University of York. She joined BMS in 2013, as a Year 9, and stayed until the end of Year 13.

James Pollard

James attended BMS from 2004 – 2015, a student at the school from Year 3 to Year 13 when he was made Deputy Head Boy. Despite being relatively academic and keen to extend his learning by attending the University of Nottingham to study History and American Studies, he struggled to find the career path that he really wanted to follow. In this video he talks about adjusting to University after leaving the BMS community, offers advice for other students who also do not have clear career plans and discusses how his experiences led him to work in education and the benefits of being a teacher.
