Chris Whittaker

Expedition Leader, Snowboard Instructor, Adventure Sports Writer and Photographer.

Since leaving BMS in 2012, Chris has focused his time on developing his skills within the Outdoor Industry. This has allowed him to shape a career based on travel and exploring nature; from the Far East, Africa, across Europe, North, Central and South America.

James Pollard

James attended BMS from 2004 – 2015, a student at the school from Year 3 to Year 13 when he was made Deputy Head Boy. Despite being relatively academic and keen to extend his learning by attending the University of Nottingham to study History and American Studies, he struggled to find the career path that he really wanted to follow. In this video he talks about adjusting to University after leaving the BMS community, offers advice for other students who also do not have clear career plans and discusses how his experiences led him to work in education and the benefits of being a teacher.
