Are you a passionate and experienced education professional with a strong track record of supporting students with additional needs? Bedford Modern School (BMS) is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head of Academic Support to lead our whole-school strategy for SEND provision and academic support across Years 3 to 13.

As a key member of our pastoral and academic teams, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering outstanding provision for students with a wide range of learning needs, including overseeing access arrangements, leading a specialist team, and ensuring that all students are supported to fulfil their potential.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A Level 7 Specialist Teacher qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in leading SEND provision, ideally across both junior and senior phases
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and educational excellence for all
