Bedford Modern School (BMS) is an outstanding HMC independent co-educational day school for students aged 7-18. Our community is a friendly, happy and supportive one and all of the 350 staff members, spanning both teaching and non-teaching roles, help to make BMS a very special place to work.
The School offers a premium education, with a wide and varied curriculum, that is responsive to the needs of students and parents, where the intellectual needs of each student is given priority.
We are looking to appoint a highly competent Design or Engineering graduate to teach DT across all key stages and Product Design at GCSE and A level. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with experience of delivering electronics and mechanical systems, comfortable using the latest CAD/CAM software and machinery technology, have a passion for their subject and an appreciation of the value that comes from being actively involved in departmental trips, e competitions and enrichment activities.
You will have a genuine interest in delivering positive outcomes for young people and be willing to contribute to the extensive co-curricular life of both this nationally recognised and successful department and the wider school.
