Bedford Modern School (BMS) is an outstanding HMC independent co-educational day school for students aged 7-18. Our community is a friendly, happy and supportive one and all of the 350 staff members, spanning both teaching and non-teaching roles, help to make BMS a very special place to work.

The School offers a premium education, with a wide and varied curriculum, that is responsive to the needs of students and parents, where the intellectual needs of each student is given priority.

We are looking to appoint a committed and suitably qualified graduate to teach Chemistry to A level and Combined Science to Year 7 and 8 as necessary. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner, comfortable using the latest technology, have a passion for their subject and an appreciation of the value that comes from being actively involved in departmental trips, events and enrichment activities.

You will have a genuine interest in delivering positive outcomes for young people and be willing to contribute to the extensive co-curricular life of both the Science Faculty and the wider school.
