Bedford Modern School (BMS) is an outstanding HMC independent co-educational day school for students aged 7-18. Our community is a friendly, happy and supportive one and all of the 350 staff members, spanning both teaching and non-teaching roles, help to make BMS a very special place to work.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Afternoon Library Assistant to join our Senior School Library. Reporting to the Learning Resource Centre Manager, you will actively promote reading and provide guidance and advice to readers and enquirers.

Applicants will have admin experience, preferably in a library or educational setting and experience working with young people coupled with a good standard of education and strong organisational skills. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to use initiative and proactively try to solve problems.

The post will be part time for 25 hours per week to be worked Monday-Friday 1.00pm – 6.00pm, term time only.
