BMS crowned Under-14 cricket county champions 20 September 2024
One of our talented cricket teams has been crowned county champions, securing their place at a national knockout tournament after winning the Under-14 County Cup final on Thursday 12 September at The Bury, home of Bedford Cricket Club.
BMS defeated Samuel Whitbread Academy by nine wickets in the final having beaten Bedford School in the semi-final earlier in the tournament.
The team were later presented with medals by Headmaster Mr Payne back at BMS to commemorate their success. They will now compete in the Lord’s Taverners Under-15s National Cup in the Summer Term.
Mr Singh, Head of BMS Cricket, said: “We are immensely proud of this talented group of young cricketers for their outstanding achievement in winning the County Cup final. Every member of the team has played an important part in winning this competition and securing a place in the Lord’s Taverners Under-15s National Knockout Cup. The team’s achievement is the reward of their hard work, and we have no doubt that our students will continue to develop their skills. We are looking forward to assisting them in this endeavour and watching them continue to grow and fulfil their undoubted potential at BMS.”
