Following a comprehensive review of IT services and staffing part driven by the switch to online learning and the increasing reliance on IT across all school departments, our IT department is essential to the education and development of our 1300 students and the working practices of our 250 plus employees.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will have responsibility for providing first and second line technical support for both the School and Harpur Trust (at their remote office).
You will be able to take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the user as soon as possible; escalating server related incidents to Systems Engineers where necessary.
A good working knowledge of desktop computer, laptop, smart phone/tablet hardware devices and configuration, network and computer security concepts and troubleshooting is essential. Although experience in a similar role is an advantage, we are willing to support an individual who is looking to be trained further in a practical environment, so our role mat suit a recent graduate/student with an IT qualification or course.
Our ideal candidate will have a passion for IT and enjoy providing excellent customer service. You will be highly organised and have good communication skills coupled with the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
In addition to a competitive salary of £25k, we also offer 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, private health care scheme, generous pension scheme, free lunches during term time and free onsite parking.
