Independence with support

Our pastoral structure combines the opportunities of a large and vibrant Sixth Form with the individual attention more often associated with a smaller community.

Supported every step

Students are part of small tutor groups, ensuring strong relationships with tutors who provide day-to-day guidance and support. Alongside this, experienced Senior Tutors oversee each year group, helping students navigate both the opportunities and challenges that come with Sixth Form study.

“BMS teachers have a remarkable rapport with students who clearly know that they are on their side whilst never shying away from giving honest advice when it is needed. As parents, we have valued this approach of common sense, wisdom and the ability to see the bigger picture.”

Growing in independence

Pastoral care and academic success go hand in hand. Through our dedicated Learning Advisors, students can access one-to-one mentoring and practical support with organisation, study skills, confidence and time management. This personalised approach helps students manage the demands of A Level study while developing the independence and self-awareness needed for the future.

Most importantly, our Sixth Form is a community where students feel valued as individuals. They are encouraged to take responsibility for themselves, support those around them and make the most of every opportunity available to them.

Known as individuals. Supported to succeed.
