Discovering new interests. Developing new confidence.

Learning at Bedford Modern Junior School extends far beyond the classroom.

Something for everyone

Our extensive co-curricular programme gives students the opportunity to explore new interests, develop skills and discover talents they may never have known they had. From sport, music and drama to chess, craft, academic clubs and creative activities, there is something to inspire every child.

We believe that some of the most valuable learning happens when students try something new, work with others and challenge themselves in different ways. Through clubs, societies, performances, competitions and House events, students build confidence, develop friendships and learn the value of participation and teamwork.

A wider world awaits

Alongside our weekly programme of activities, educational visits, visiting theatre groups, museum trips and collaborative projects help broaden horizons and bring learning to life. These experiences encourage curiosity, creativity and a willingness to embrace new opportunities.

Whether discovering a new passion or developing an existing talent, every student is encouraged to get involved, contribute and make the most of everything Junior School life has to offer.

Every opportunity is a chance to discover what you're capable of.
