Case Study: Senior School Girl
Danika Cave is in Year 10 and joined BMS in 2003.
"I liked the fact that BMS was co-educational and when my parents and I had a school tour there was a nice atmosphere and everyone seemed friendly. A co-educational school is more geared up for the working world," said Danika.
Danika's favourite subjects are History and Drama. "I am very keen on Drama and recently took my LAMDA examinations. I am looking forward to performing in the forthcoming "West Side Story" production. I also like History and there are lots of different clubs and activities to choose from after school. The Common Rooms at BMS are also a good idea as they enable students to mix with the whole of their year group and in this way it is easier to get to know other students beyond those in your own class."
In Danika's opinion, the transition from Year 9 to Year 10 has resulted in students having more independence and their opinions being more valued.
Danika describes BMS as sociable and challenging and believes that the School offers a good balance of education and extra-curricular activities for all students. After taking her GCSE's next year, Danika is thinking of pursuing a career in Psychology.
