BMS Foundation Fund

The BMS Foundation Fund was set up to provide BMS with the same opportunity as other independent schools who are able to invest in their students and the school estate and facilities aside from using school fees to do so.

We rely on the support of the BMS community as a whole but know that many OBMs have a desire to give something back to the school which has shaped them and provide the opportunities that they had to others. OBMs have long contributed to the success and development of the school, from meeting more than half of the cost of the new hall in 1929, raising funds to provide the indoor swimming pool at the school field in 1930 to the more recent purchase, in 2017, of the Foucault Pendulum which was paid for by OBM Club funds and the 2019 refurbishment of the cricket pavilion.

The Foundation aims to raise money to support two key strands of school life:

• Bursaries for students who would benefit from a BMS education but would otherwise be unable to afford the fees and fall outside the current guidelines for Harpur Trust support
• Wherever the need is greatest including specific capital campaigns such as the Science Centre, built in 2017

Every gift to the Foundation is very much appreciated, no matter what the amount and really does make a difference. You can make single or regular gifts and if you are a UK tax payer at least 25% can be added at no extra cost to you.
