BMS attend European Youth Parliament
February 08th, 2010
On Friday 5th February, Year 12 students represented Bedford Modern School at the European Youth Parliament at St. Hugh's College, Oxford University.
The students debated issues such as Human Rights, Afghanistan, Climate Change, Nuclear Weapons and the Euro. Jordan Kelly-Tams and Lyle Fulton gave excellent speeches about the nuclear weapons issue which they had carefully researched and written.
"Although the students were not selected for the National Finals at Durham University, they debated effectively and were a credit to themselves and the School," said Stuart Baker, Head of Politics at BMS.
