Case Study: Junior School Boy

Will Hardwick is in Year 6 and joined BMS in September 2007.

"The things that I enjoy most are the sporting and education facilities together with the friends I have made", said Will.

Will likes the Christopher Fry Hall and also all the excellent Junior School facilities.  "I enjoyed making a sports bag in D.T. and also enjoyed learning how to use Publisher software in I.T. lessons", he said.

Having just moved up from Year 5 into Year 6, Will has noticed some changes.  "The work is a little bit harder and there is more responsibility", he said.  "Pupils are expected to do more things and set an example.  It is, however, nice to be able to wear long trousers now that I am in Year 6".

Will plays in the School Rugby, Football and Cricket A teams and also takes part in the school productions.  He enjoys reading and has just finished 'Alpha Force' by Chris Ryan, an ex-SAS soldier.

There are a wide range of extra curricular activities for Junior School pupils.  "I take part in Crash which is a school percussion group.  I attend a Modern Languages club where I am learning Catalan on the computer and I also take part in Rugby and Dodgeball clubs", he added.  Will also enjoys German and French and was awarded the Year 5 Modern Languages prize.

Will describes life in the Junior School as exciting, fantastic and busy.  He is also on the School Council for his class.
