Case Study: Junior School Girl

Isabelle Glanvill is in Year 6 and joined BMS in September 2008.

"I like Art, Netball and Rounders.  One of the main things I enjoy about Bedford Modern Junior School is that it is a very friendly school and I am friends with lots of different boys and girls in my class," said Isabelle.

Isabelle has been playing the flute for three years and has music lessons at school.  She also enjoys singing and is a member of the Junior School Chamber Choir.  Last year Isabelle also took part in the Synchronised Swimming Club and played in the School Rounders team.

When asked to describe life at BMS, Isabelle thought for a moment and then replied, "It is exciting and interesting."

Isabelle has enjoyed going on a variety of school trips over the last academic year.  "My favourite was probably the visit to Kentwell Hall, where we dressed up in Tudor costumes and learnt all about Tudor life.  I also enjoyed our class Science trip to the Thinktank, which is a Science Museum in Birmingham," she added.

Isabelle describes herself as happy and reliable and has the following advice for any pupil considering Bedford Modern Junior School, "Just be yourself and you will soon settle in at BMS."
