Case Study: Junior School Girl

Chloe Jefferd is in Year 6 and joined BMS in 2005.

"I have a brother in Year 12 and also an older brother who left BMS in Summer 2008", she said.

Chloe thinks that being in the Junior School is fun, never-ending and busy as there is always lots to do.  "The lessons are fun and the teachers are nice.  I also enjoy the sporting opportunities", she said.

As far as co-education is concerned, Chloe believes that it is fun having girls and boys in the same class and pupils are able to do more things.  "It would be quite boring with just girls or just boys in the class", she explained.

Chloe's favourite lesson is I.T. as she especially likes working on the computers. "I have enjoyed making clocks in the D.T. lessons and also enjoyed making model bridges out of wood and card", she said.

Chloe plays the recorder at school and is also a member of the School Hockey, Netball and Swimming teams together with the Rounders team in the summer.

In her spare time, Chloe enjoys reading having just finished "The Princess Diaries", playing games on the computer, horse-riding and spending time with her family.

Chloe says that she feels more grown up now that she is in Year 6 and that the pupils are given more responsibility than in Year 5.  She enjoys taking part in the Dance and Badminton clubs and also enjoys learning French.
