ManneQuin pop duo and former Bedford Modern School pupils Dan and Reuben Priddy made a surprise appearance at their old school on Wednesday 14 December when they performed at an end of term assembly.
Dan Priddy attended Bedford Modern School between 1992 and 2003 before attending the Institute of Popular Music. Reuben, his brother, left Bedford Modern School in 2007.
Dan and Reuben formed ManneQuin a year ago and their debut EP 'Yo Yo Girl' was released on 28 November 2011 with an album set for release in 2012.
Since Dan composed 'Lipstick', the Irish entry for Eurovision, (No. 1 in Ireland, Sweden, Austria & Germany), ManneQuin has rapidly built a reputation as great pop songsmiths.
Their high octane live shows of 2011 have gone down an absolute storm. Touring Ireland in April was a highlight of the band's year so far. Sending audiences into a frenzy, the duo have picked up a dedicated following who have enjoyed energetic and infectious pop songs such as ManneQuin, Tick Tick Boom and Electric Gold.
David Shoukry, Assistant Director of Music at Bedford Modern School said: "It was a pleasure to see Dan and Reuben back again at their old school. ManneQuin's visit was deliberately kept as a surprise and everyone was so excited and singing and dancing in the hall when ManneQuin appeared on stage and played 'Electric Gold' and 'Yo Yo Girl."
