Junior Curriculum.
The following information provides details of the content of our academic curricula at Bedford Modern Junior School. In order to understand the context of our curriculum, some important general points are provided below:
The School operates a ten-day cyclical timetable. A cycle is therefore spread over two weeks. This arrangement gives us the opportunity and flexibility to offer a broad, comprehensive curriculum.
Each subject’s entry has been written by the Junior School subject co-ordinator(s). Subjects have been listed in alphabetical order. You will see that the entries adopt a wide variety of different styles – ‘editorial input’ has been comparatively minimal, because we believe that one of our strengths as a school is the individuality of each teacher’s approach. Teaching at BMS has never been regimented and we will strive to maintain this diversity.
Our curriculum is regularly reviewed and changes are made when necessary to ensure that we are employing the best possible methods and providing the best education.
