Victory for Bedford Modern School against Bromsgrove School in the Midlands Regional Final of the Daily Mail RBS U15 Cup on Thursday 19 January 2012 means that Bedford Modern School is through to the Quarter Finals.

With 563 schools participating in the Daily Mail RBS Cup competition at the outset, Bedford Modern School is delighted to have reached the Quarter Final stage this year, winning 12-7 against Bromsgrove School.

The win against Bromsgrove School follows on from BMS winning 32-29 against Cheltenham College on 6 December 2011, having already beaten Wellingborough School, Northampton School for Boys and Oakham School in earlier rounds of the competition.

Rob Hardwick, Director of Rugby at Bedford Modern School said: "The win against Bromsgrove School was a fantastic performance from the whole BMS team led by Theo Cassell.  The boys showed a great defensive effort with two fantastic tries by James Reaper and Daniel Bhatti.

"Much credit must go to the forwards, ably led by Theo Cassell, providing a huge defensive effort in abating pressure from the opposition.  My thanks also go to Nigel Chinneck and Dan Richmond whose dedication and coaching has inspired our U15 rugby team this season.

"This result is another huge win for the BMS U15 Rugby Team and the School is delighted to be through to the Quarter Finals.  The next round must be played before 2 February and we are eagerly awaiting the draw to see which of the most prestigious rugby schools in the country, Bedford Modern School faces in the Quarter Finals.

"The team deserves their success because of their commitment, desire to improve and willingness to work on their strengths and weaknesses.  More importantly, they play for each other, and have a collective goal which is to fulfil their potential as a team."
