There was an excellent weekend of sport last week which resulted in four wins and three narrow defeats. Well done everyone - what a superb effort!
The U11A and B teams will play our annual fixture against a touring team from Victoria College on Friday 3 February. We also have the U11 Hockey team playing in a tournament on the same day. The girls will then turn their hands to Netball on Saturday when both the U11 and U10 teams play Spratton Hall. Good luck goes to them all, as always - I am sure they will do their very best.
On Wednesday, there will be great excitement as the children take part in House Music. We have asked them to come to school wearing jeans and a top in their House colour - this worked spectacularly well last year and, whilst engendering a House spirit, gave the whole affair a fantastic splash of colour.
On Thursday, we will be treated with an evening performance of dance in the Dance Showcase. This gives us another opportunity to watch on as the children display yet more of their talents.
Returning to the sporting theme, I am sure that the children will all be looking forward to taking part in the Steeplechase next Friday - if the weather doesn't turn against us, as the forecast is particularly nippy!
And so we approach the end of this half-term. I hope that you will have a very relaxed and refreshing break. I am sure that the children and staff need it!
