Junior School Head's Blog week ending 9 December

The countdown to Christmas has begun and the final dress run is nearly upon us for this term's Junior School Christmas Production of 'Rumpled Beauty'.  Performances take place at 4.30pm on Thursday 8 December and 2.15pm and 7.00pm on Friday 9 December with every child in the Junior School taking part.

Thanks to parents who, no doubt, have spent countless hours producing costumes for their children ranging from mice, market stall holders, Royal Courtiers and carol singers.

Special thanks to Damian Dibben, children's author, for visiting us on Friday 2 December and speaking to staff and pupils.  Damian brought along copies of his new book 'The History Keepers: The Storm Begins' and signed copies of the publication for pupils.  A copy of Damian's new book will be placed in our School library and I shall certainly be borrowing this book as the plot sounds exciting and intriguing.  Find out more about Damian's visit and his new book by visiting http://www.bedmod.co.uk/en/The History Keepers

Finally, congratulations to Eloise Blake, a Year 5 pupil who has been Highly Commended at the Pride in Bedford Awards.  Eloise was nominated for Volunteer / Carer of the Year whilst her sister, Olivia, won the Child of Courage Award.  The full news story appears on our website and can be viewed at http://www.bedmod.co.uk/en/Pride in Bedford Awards

Have a good week.
