Headmaster Blog week ending 8th April

Music prizes for pupils in Years 7 to 13 take place in our Music School on Monday 4th April, whilst on Tuesday 5th April, pupils from Years 7, 8 and 9 will participate in the annual end of term Steeplechase.

The new issue of The Sports Eagle has now been published and you should receive a copy shortly, if you haven't already done so.

Many school trips are planned for the Easter holidays including a Duke of Edinburgh Silver Assessed Expedition to the Peak District; a senior Football Tour to Spain; a Great Little Railways trip to Wales; CCF Adventure Training in Scotland; Krakow Death Camps visit; Rowing Trip to Chicago and the Nottingham Rowing Camp.  I look forward to hearing accounts of all these trips next term.

Congratulations to Year 13 student, Lewis Cleaver, who won Rowing and Regatta Magazine's national journalism competition and also to OBM Marek Behnke, who left BMS in 2010, and has just become the British Junior Ski Cross Champion.

The Summer Term begins on Wednesday 27th April and please do remember that the School will be closed on Friday 29th April in view of the Government's decision to award an additional Bank Holiday for the Royal Wedding.

I wish you and your families a pleasant and relaxing Easter break and look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for the start of the Summer Term.
