Welcome back to the start of the Spring Term for what will be a busy time for students sitting their trial examinations and external modules.
It is hoped that the new school website will provide users with a more vibrant and modern feel of what BMS is all about. Please spend a few minutes familiarising yourself with the website and I hope you find the information is far easier to access.
Many of you will no doubt have seen the new BMS billboard campaign that was launched on 5th January around Bedford. The campaign, that carries the strapline, "BMS: Be Part Of Our Team", is just one of a number of new and exciting initiatives the School has planned to reinforce our message that Bedford Modern School is a happy, supportive and successful school.
I am also very much looking forward to hearing Mark Burgess' play, "A King's Speech", that will be broadcast on Thursday 6th January at 2.15pm on Radio 4. Mark Burgess is Head of Speech and Drama at BMS and has taught at the School since 2004. He is also one of the most prolific contributors to BBC radio drama in recent years.
