Headmaster Blog week ending 30 September

As we approach the end of September and with summer a distant blur, another busy week of activities and sporting fixtures awaits for our girls and boys, including Rugby, Girls' Hockey, Equestrian, the Second Round of the U15 Rugby Daily Mail competition, Rowing and Fives matches.

Together with the Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl, I shall be attending the High Sheriff's Service for Her Majesty's Judges at St. Paul's Church, Bedford on Monday 26 September.

On Tuesday 27 September, a Year 11 Information Evening takes place whilst Theatre in Transit rehearsals continue apace in preparation for our Year 13 Theatre Company's production of 'Macbeth' in November.

A Junior School Information Evening for current parents takes place at 6.45pm on Wednesday 28 September.

Another BMS 'Action' Day takes place on Thursday 29 September for prospective families with tours of the School on a normal working day at 9.00am, 10.00am and 2.30pm.

Later that evening there will be a Year 7-10 Parent/Tutor Evening.

On Friday, some of our Year 11 students will participate in a Field Trip to Yorkshire whilst Year 11-13 cadets from our Combined Cadet Force will battle it out in the Pringle Trophy Competition.

Finally, on Saturday 1 October I shall be holding my first Headmaster's Surgery this term at 9.00am and 11.00am.  Please contact my assistant, Julie Saunders, if you would like to call in and discuss anything with me.

Have an enjoyable week.
