Headmaster Blog week ending 18th March

We are hosting an U11 Rugby 7s Tournament at the School on Monday and I would like to welcome all visiting teams.

This week, our Year 4 pupils will visit West Stow Anglo Saxon Village on Tuesday 15th, where they will see and experience Anglo Saxon houses as well as archaeological finds from the site.

A team of eight pupils from Year 9 will be travelling to Les Houches, France, to participate in Slalom and Giant Slalom races in the 21st Inter Schools' Ski Challenge.

On Thursday 17th March, the Schools' Head of River Race takes place in London and pupils from Year 10 and above will be competing on the Thames from Mortlake to Putney.

The National Sculling Head takes place on Friday 18th, at Dorney Lake, Eton, where our Year 9 pupils will feature predominantly.  However, BMS has a Year 10 Girls' Octuple and a Senior VIII crew competing and I look forward to hearing how all our teams perform.

Finally, I have seen and heard pupils rehearsing over the last few months for what promises to be a spectacular production of Evita.  I am very much looking forward to seeing the show and would also like to extend a very warm welcome to all visitors who will be attending the performances throughout the week including our OBMs who are attending the Evita Reception, being organised by the Development Office, on Saturday evening.
