This week our Year 13 Theatre Company, Theatre in Transit commences rehearsals for 'Macbeth' which will be performed at the School in November.
Tickets will also be available shortly for this year's House Music Competition which takes place in the Howard Hall on Thursday 13 October with senior school pupils once again battling it out to become House Music Champions 2011!
On Tuesday 13 September, a Girls' Hockey Germany Tour Information Evening is due to be held in the Rutherford Building at 7.00pm and will be led by Miss Rumbold.
On Wednesday, our Junior School Information Evening for prospective families takes place at 6.45pm in the Christopher Fry Hall. This is an ideal time to meet Mr Richard Lynn, our new Head of Junior School, and find out more about what Bedford Modern Junior School can offer your children.
I look forward to seeing many of you at our Academic Achievement Awards Evening in the Howard Hall on Friday where many of our pupils will receive prizes in recognition of individual achievements and progress. I am delighted that Alf Hitchcock, Chief Constable of Bedfordshire Constabulary, will be this year's Guest of Honour.
Finally, good luck to all our girls and boys participating in sporting activities this week including Cricket, Girls' Hockey, the U15 Rugby Daily Mail Round against Campion and, on Sunday 18 September, the Rowing Boston Marathon with girls and boys from Years 9 to 13 competing.
