This week we are holding another of our School "In Action" days that takes place on Tuesday 10th May. This is an ideal time to see the School on a normal working day, with guided tours available and an opportunity to meet some of the teaching staff.
I am delighted to say that our school magazine, "The Eagle", produced by the pupils, has gone through to the final round of judging in the Shine 2011 School Media Awards. The Eagle has been shortlisted in three categories including Best Cover; Best Artwork & Photography and Best Feature Article. Well done to Year 13 student Editor, Sophie King.
Our Year 7 Parents' Evening also takes place later on Tuesday.
A2 Art Examinations take place on Wednesday 11th May. The Junior School will be holding a Big Beat workshop on Thursday 12th followed by a Junior School Information Evening.
On Saturday 14th May, our Combined Cadet Force (CCF) Annual General Inspection takes place.
Good luck to everyone involved in the sporting fixtures taking place this week including cricket, rounders and the U16 and U19 Water Polo Finals for Girls in Walsall on Sunday 15th May.
Congratulations also to Year 12 student, Ed Munno, who won Gold representing Great Britain in the Coxless Four and then came second racing in the Eight at the Munich International Junior Regatta at the weekend and also to Year 11 pupil, Jordan Lee, who has been offered an Academic and Soccer Scholarship at Darlington School in Georgia, USA.
