BMS is hosting the Faith Festival 2011 at The King Room, Clarendon Street, Bedford, between Tuesday 8th and Thursday 10th March. The Festival will be officially opened by the Mayor of Bedford and the Revd Dr Andrew Rowley, Bedford Modern School Chaplain.
We look forward to welcoming over 600 school children from Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire, who will enjoy an interactive exhibition learning about the history, beliefs, sacred texts and festivals of Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, as well as about Quakers, Jains, Sikhs, Hindus and Baha'i's.
This is set to be another busy week, with pupils taking part in the Bedfordshire Festival of Music, Speech and Drama at the Bedford Corn Exchange and the second of our Year 9 Parents' Evenings scheduled for Tuesday.
The final rehearsals for Evita take place this week and there are just a few tickets remaining now for what promises to be a dynamic and moving production commencing on Monday 14th March.
During the course of the week many sporting activities are taking place including Football, Boys' Water Polo, Girls' Hockey and Boys' Hockey fixtures, together with a Rugby 7s Tournament and a Netball County Tournament. The School's 1st VIII compete at the Reading Head on Saturday and I wish everyone taking part, the very best of luck.
