Psychology.

Head of Faculty:  Mr Neale Else
Head of Subject:  Miss Helen Kelly

Psychology involves analysis of the brain & behaviour. Why do we think, feel & behave the way we do? Students will develop an understanding and critical appreciation of the major psychological approaches which attempt to explain & predict human behaviour.  Students will learn the skills necessary to conduct psychological research that is scientific, ethical & has practical applications. The study of psychology can contribute to students' understanding of spiritual, moral, ethical, social & other issues.

Furthermore, it engenders an awareness of the variety & complexity of the human condition in terms of mind, behaviour & relationships.  It promotes understanding of self, moral behaviour & thought as well as cultural differences & similarities.
