Assisting Access to BMS for Years 7 to 12 entry.
At BMS it's the child that counts and our Modern Scholarships have been devised to provide opportunities for children with potential - academically, in sport and in the performing arts - to be able to count on a BMS education regardless of family means.
Throughout its history, Bedford Modern School has played a central part educationally in the town. It has always been representative of the local area with the main attraction of the School being its ability to gather together the academically able.
The School is fully co-educational for students aged 7 to 18. Many local people are grateful for the education they received at BMS and many received financial assistance to attend the School. One substantial strength of the School is its embracing friendly nature, and students feel immediately welcome and at home.
All Scholarships are subject to means testing and the candidate passing the entrance assessments.
